About Estoqi

The story behind Estoqi.

What is Estoqi?

Estoqi is a water technology I built to solve one very specific problem. Most of the fruits and vegetables we bring home carry pesticide residue that a normal wash barely touches, because these chemicals are engineered to survive water. Our system uses ionized water, created with nothing but electricity, to actually lift that residue off, up to 99% of what sits on the surface, with nothing added. The same system also produces a second stream of hydrogen rich water for everyday drinking.

How this problem quietly grew?

India's food story is actually a success story. Decades ago, this country went from facing real hunger to feeding well over a billion people, and farming had to change enormously to make that possible. Pesticides became a necessary part of protecting that scale of production, and for the most part, that was the right call. What never evolved alongside it was the one step that was supposed to come after the harvest, the wash. The way most of us clean our produce today is exactly the way our grandparents did it, even though the chemistry sitting on our food has changed completely. And because pesticide residue has no colour, no smell, and no taste, this gap stayed invisible for a very long time.

Where Jesal came in?

This became personal for him when his father fell seriously ill, and like any family would, they started paying closer attention to everything they brought into their home, especially the food. That is when he came across the research on pesticide exposure and a question he could not shake off: why are we so careful about what we buy, and so careless about how we clean it? Four years, over a hundred lab tests, and more failed prototypes than he can count later, that question became Estoqi. The one thing he actually set out to do was build something he would trust in his own kitchen first, and let the results decide whether it belonged to you.

What are we working towards?

Our vision is an India where every meal is clean. Our mission is to make genuinely clean food accessible to every Indian home and institution.
